MANITOBA FLOODS REPORT
Report from Wayne Mayo – July 27 2026
This is the Samaritan’s Purse catastrophe event that I was blessed to be apart of. The photos, videos and the stories are and will always be upon my heart.
This area of Manitoba was hit several times with damages initially but additional damages at subsequent storms. The Crews are still there working diligently to help as many homes as possible. it’ has been 7 weeks since I got there. I don’t have the actual count but there was well over 350 homes that Samaritan’s Purse attended to.
What a privilege to be able to help out and show God’s love and care.
All the effects by so many in the field and all those in support with prayer, funding etc.
This location is just one of many deployments for Samaritan’s Purse Canada. They are still helping many homes ( about 65 remaining in Ottawa).
The team was send to middle of British Colombia to help with the hundreds of home owners in BC from the many various forest fires. There is so much need and so few to help.
Please pray for all the hurting confused people around our country.
Many are in dire straits economically. Many have lost much of their belongings. The flood waters were not just restricted to basements. There were many homes that had water up and into thier main living space. Lots of lost furniture and belongings.
It’s a humbling experience to see people loose so much and their resilience to press on.
Thank each of you for your prayers for this outreach, for my strength and ability to assist and the endurance to be apart of this important opportunity.
